ALL THE THINGS I’M GRATEFUL FOR

Happy New weeek!

How are you my lovely readers?

I am sorry for being away to long these days, i want to be here more often, i have you all in my mind all the time and the need to do well by you guys makes me want to be better and i am loving it.

Its been a pretty tough year and i cant even complain. I can only be grateful. Many times i’ve felt like all the positivity and struggle to become is all a fluke but the truth is everyday we are alive is a gift to be used to the fullest. There is no time to be sitting around and being average.

I’ve lost some fighters to death, i’ve asked a lot of why(s), I’ve blamed myself for some of my misfortune, other times i’ve thought life was just being unfair. I’ve had to come to terms with the harsh reality of death. We make life plans but no where in the equation of our life does death fit in. It comes when it comes and thats the end. Yet, we must live everyday expectant and pushing through, to live out our dreams.

Just when I’m about to go off on a tangent, i realize that despite the changing times and seasons of life, my most trusted connection has not changed. God is still God, once he wills it, there will be a way. I want to be more but when i am not there yet all i can be is grateful – no complains

GRATEFULI am grateful for:

THE OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE AND CHASE MY DREAMS : Its only people that are alive that can dream, set goals and get goals. I am grateful for such a priceless priviledge. Some people have lost their lives in the process and to still be in the race is something i won’t take simply. In the midst of all the struggle to survive and become somebody you are proud of, don’t forget to acknowledge the ultimate provider and make your way right with Him all day everyday. Good health begets sound mind and a sound mind can only make sound decisions.

GREAT FRIENDS: I am talking of those ones you don’t see often or speak with often but you just know they are there. They remember you in there prayers and that enough remembrance. The kind of friends that listen to you without judging. Their success is my success and my challenges are their prayer point. I am not the type that has too many friends and so when i meet people that are genuine we just connect and it is so timely that i just know that it was meant to be.

WONDERFUL FAMILY: If you have met people who are under certain pressures from family, you will understand what it means to have a family that understands. For a long time now especially this year , i have felt the need to be more for my family, parents and siblings. I have constantly pressured myself to be more for them but there is only so much i can do for now. I also know that i am not where i used to be and i wouldn’t have come this far in one peace if it were not for their support and understanding. The sacrifices they have made is enormous.

THE THINGS I NO LONGER HAVE TO PRAY FOR: You know those things people are fasting and praying for to come their way? Those things i now wake up to, not because i prayed the most but because God willed it. As much as there are so many things i am grateful for that this post will not be enough to say it all in plain words, these are the ones that i have struck off my prayer point list (e.g fruit of the womb), meanwhile i see what people are going through these days in search of these blessings that came to me on a platter. What a relief!

Its easy to get carried away by the things that are going wrong in our lives that we forget to take a moment to say thank you. Thank God for his finger and he will show you his hands. In the course of the week, don’t forget to seize every opportunity to say Thank You to him – the one who knows about all that you need, the one who knows about all your sleepless nights, the Mr FIX IT!

Stay Blessed!

FAITH || ALL MUST BE WELL

Its been an intriguing 2017 and i am totally grateful to God for bringing me this far. Its barely 3 months to the end of the year and i know many of us are beginning to access ourselves and asking questions – some of which you may never get the answers. Some friends have come and gone, tough times have been replaced with victories, plans have had to change in order to get by and indeed being alive is the high point of this journey. I realize that as long as there is life, all must be well with God’s beloved.

This is a hymn that resonated with my spirit 2 Sundays back and i am sharing in this post. If you know the name of the person who composed this hymn please do leave it in the comment section..thanks

Through the love of God our savior, All will be well,

Free and changeless in his favor, All, all is well,

Precious is blood healed us ,

Perfect is the grace that sealed us,

Strong the hand stretched out to shield us,

ALL MUST BE WELL

Though we pass through tribulation, All will be well,

Ours is such a full salvation, All, all is well,

Happy, still in God confiding,

Fruitful, if in christ Abiding,

Holy, through the SPIRIT’S guiding;

ALL MUST BE WELL

We expect a bright tomorrow, All will be well;

Faith can sing through days of sorrow; All, all is well,

On our FATHER’S love relying,

Jesus every need supplying,

Or in living, or in dying,

ALL MUST BE WELL.

God of love and grace and glory, whom now we bless,

TRINITY Most High, Most Holy, Thee we confess!

Ever in the new creation

May we sing thy Great Salvation,

And with Joyful adoration

Our praise address! AMEN.

I wish you the very best of the last quarter

The One Hour #HallelujahChallenge. Making the most of the last days

If you are reading, this i am assuming you already know about the #HallelujahChallenge. My blogger friend Joan of Curlychristian.wordpress.com shared a post about it in detail, you can check it to get more gist if you don’t know about it yet.

After yesterday session it dawned on me that it was only a week to go before the challenge is over. I must say i have had the best midnights in the past 23 days. Well one night i overslept and missed it , the other night i overslept but i woke up just in time to catch a few more minutes before it was over. I will also not forget to mention the two nights i slept off during the session and woke up to find out it was over by like 30mins.

I am that person that will never want to miss out on praise session during a church service, its like i missed the most important thing. I was excited to be spending such time on the online *in falz the bahd guy’s voice* with people from all works of life, united in christ and seeking his outstretched arms, to intercede for us and experience such unlocking of potentials and testimonies through praise, day in, day out.

It is only 7 nights to go and i am trusting that the glory of this last days will be greater than the former. You too can get the most of this challenge if you key in fully by taking it seriously. Here are a few things i am doing to get the most out of it and you too can if you take it seriously.

Continue in Praise all day

Don’t wait for midnight to worship for one hour or so and carry on about the rest of the day like nothing is happening. God is everywhere at all times. It does not matter if you engage fully at midnight rather let  the rest of your day be spent showing forth his praise. God is looking for true worshippers, he is spirit and so those who worship him must do so with everything that they have and in everything that they do (in truth – in real life). As you praise him encourage others to join in.

#HallelujahChallenge

Be expectant through faith

I try my best to read all the testimonies shared on Pst. Nathaniel’s Instagram acct and tap into the anointing. Reading these mind blowing testimonies makes it impossible to doubt the efficacy of God’s power and the manner in which he does things; Just like that, Immediately, Suddenly. If he did it before in the time of Paul and Silas, he will do it again and i truly see him doing it. So instead of reading the testimonies and saying ah! when will my own come? Read to build your faith and know that the one whom you are making requests to is everly (that is not really an english word..lol, but you get) in the business of doing miracles.

Have your requests Written out (in a dream book)

It will do you a whole lot good if you engage during the sessions with a burning desire for a particular thing or things. Come with your requests written out, so that when you pray your thought are not all over the place. When i decided to write down my requests mid way into the challenge i realized that i was more in tune and looked forward to the gathering. I have also seen testimonies from people who where praying for something else and God answered in other ways but the thing is if you don’t know what you ask for you will not come boldly to receive. You want to spend that one hour knowing why you are there rather than spend it thinking of what to pray for because truly and indeed there are a million and one things to pray for but you could do with a lot less distractions and wandering thoughts. I thought i had a lot to ask for but i did not know that writing down 30 prayer requests for 30 days of the months in a book (as he instructed last night) was not that easy. What are Your Requests ?

#HallelujahChallenge

Hold on to the word

The word “Olowogbogboro” has been trending thanks to this Hallelujah challenge. It’s a Yoruba word meaning “The one with the extensive uninhibited arms”, “The one with unlimited hand of power”. I remember the day we were asked to look up scriptures on the “arm of God” i camE across so many scriptures i had never seen in that light. These Powerful 15 verses shared by Kachee of Kacheetee.com are very uplifting and it can help you command the hand of God concerning any situation you want to see change. Also from one of the focal scriptures it says  Psalm 149 vs 6-7 “Let the high praises of God be in their mouth and a two edged sword in their hand, to execute veNgeance….”So if the word of God is sharper than any two edged sword according to Heb 4 vs 12 then consider your self more than ready to claim victory. I use to hold up my Bible sef…lol

Pray for the Man of God

If you do not believe him, then you don’t have to bother but if you must make the most of this last days, then you have no choice. I believe, God has chosen to raise a prophet for you and i, he put his words and his mouth and everything he says is of God (See Deut 18 vs 18-19). I salute his obedience and what more can i do to show appreciation other than do the one thing he asks – that we pray for him and his family with his favorite psalm (Psalms 89 vs 20 -29). I have equally fallen in love with the Psalm and i am hoping that it is okay for me to make it my favorite Psalm too.

20 I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:

21 With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.

22 The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.

23 And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.

24 But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.

25 I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.

26 He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.

27 Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.

28 My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.

29 His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.

Please pray for him, his family and the entire team

Surrender to God

Upon Mount Zion there is deliverance and holiness. If God must do for you as he did and is still doing for others you must accept him as your Lord and Personal Savior. There is no other way around it. Accept Christ into your life.

I thank God for this privilege to be a part of this. By day 2 i started to experience the hand of God and i shared on my Instagram page. It did not even know what was happening until it hit me….and i have been richly blessed by the experience so far and i hope you are too.

Oh lest i forget, Set an alarm if you have to so you don’t sleep off. It will also help to get some extra oil for your lamp – ANYTHING TO KEEP YOU AWAKE.

What are you doing to make this last days count? pls do share. Also share that someone else can benefit

Lots of love…

Easter: The word, His truth, The Eggs

“He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces.” (Isaiah 25:8)
Just like you i very much looked forward to this all important Holy week Christian holiday, commemorating events leading up to the suffering and death of christ, climaxing at the resurrection. Maundy thursday honors Jesus last supper with the disciples, Good friday – the day of his crucifixion, Holy Saturday  – the day between death and resurrection, Easter Sunday – He rose from the dead.

Easter, the word, his love, the egg

I feel really privileged that God found me worthy to let his only begotten son to die on the cross on my behalf. He suffered pain and shame thousands of years ago – even before i was born that i might live the life i now have. By the glory of the Father, Christ was raised from the dead , so that you and i can walk in the newness of life. – Romans 6:4Easter, the word, his love, the egg
Even the enemy(devil) asks in the scriptures “who is man that thou art mindful of him?”. No wonder he (God) said that “Before you were formed I knew you and before you were born i set you apart“. Friends he is truly an intentional God. How loving of him to not die for only the saved but also the unsaved!

Easter, the word, his love, the egg

Look past your worries and just love God (by simply loving your neighbor). If you have been down and weary about life, consider it a privilege to be able to share in the suffering of Christ and see this time as an opportunity to start afresh. Embrace your new life in Christ and hold on to the revelation in his word “He who spared not his own son, but offered him up on the cross, How shall he not with him also freely give us ALL things?”  – Romans 8:32
Easter means more than Christ’s death, it means that we no longer have to see death as pain and captivity. Because of his resurrection, death is now symbolic of the way into God’s holy presence. Christ is at the right hand constantly interceding on our behalf. Today when we pray in Jesus’ name we go boldly to the throne of grace to obtain mercy and find Grace in time of need. – Heb 4:16

Easter, the word, his love, the egg

Just incase you are seeing this but still in doubt, It has actually been established that there is more evidence for the proof of Christ’s resurrection historically, than any other known event in history. More significant to me is the fact that the tomb is most famous for what it does not contain and not what it contains!
Now about the eggs…..
The Easter eggs decoration is a practice that originated from Mesopotamia. It traditionally represented Fertility and Rebirth. In modern day christianity this is done symbolically, The hard egg being the sealed tomb, and it’s cracking representing the resurrection from the dead. The modern practice substitutes with chocolate egg wrapped in foil or plastic eggs filled with candy or chocolates. Children are made to search for the hidden eggs on Easter sunday morning, which would have been left by Easter Bunny – very similar to the Christmas Santa Claus.  Interesting!!!!! Fun stuff i never knew!

Easter, the word, his truth, the eggs

About my last post on the eggs, I did go to complain and the seller thought i was someone else. He was like “yes, you called me on the phone right?” In my mind i was like ‘thank God i am not the only one’. I guess someone else had called with similar complaints. They promised to complain to the supplier and offered to give me a replacement too. How nice of them? I did not collect shaaa. Let me finish the new ones i bought first!
Have a wonderful celebration, fam! Happy Easter!!

How to turn your worry to worship – A post with 15(+1) songs

It’s the second quarter of 2017. I made it and you and you and you too.  I am so excited for the days to come. What about you? He’s able to do for you what no man can do. If you think you can do life all by yourself, you must have a rethink. Turn your worry to worship today. I testify of God’s goodness towards me. Who is like him? Onye di ka gi? My Onise Iyanu!

Turn you worry into worship

What can i do if it were not for you? Lord help me to always acknowledge you in all i do. Your grace has brought me this far, i know for sure that I won’t go back to where you have brought me from. My Lord,  You are good and i bless your name because my worst days are over. You made a way for me out of the deep and now i have a new life. For your glory, Oh Lord will i live everyday of my life. I have no choice.
Many times you face challenges and you feel like God has forgotten you. He has not. The times and seasons are controlled by him. Remember, He’s intentional and has allowed you to go through what ever it is so that you will grow. One day you will look back and realize it was necessary. When he is done with your life you will be transformed.

The world will make you loose sight of your vision if you are weak. Everyday call on him to renew your strength, let him be your Cornerstone. When words fail you, just say Fill me up Lord. It is only by his mercies we get by everyday. When the night time comes, rest easy because the Waymaker is still on duty. The God of all seasons, he never sleeps nor slumbers. Think of that moment when something unexpected happened and your heart smiled. Still in that instant, it didn’t take you seconds to realize it only could have been the hand God. Now just hang in there, once more If he did it before, he will do it again.
These were songs from my playlist
