In the beginning of the year, i shared a post where i talked about Trying out something new as one of the ways to have a memorable 2017. For this quick post I will be sharing 12 quotes to motivate you to take things to another level. A list of skills i am interested in is at the end.

I have lately been interested in too many things but top in my list would be:

This Ghanian chic is just amazing. Peniel is the Same person that designed for the front cover of Arese Ugwu’s Smart Money Woman book. I have been sketching styles for myself by myself for a long time but lately i just want to do it this good.


Similar to the above for the fact that it brings beauty and personality into art- with colors.


I generally love to take pictures and so my mind just goes wild when I think of all the amazing moments I could be a part of forever. From maternity, to new born, to prewedding shoots. Blogging will also be more fun with this skill and maybe i can take my makeup game to another level. Usually when skills are combined together it produces a masterpiece art.

This one has been in the to do list for close to 5years now. And all these years I have had to endure tailors, plus live with the guilt of causing myself the pain when I could have done it better myself. I just loe to see my sketches executed perfectly without additions or subtractions but these tailors……  Nedoux blogs at

She has these one month courses , day workshops and youtube videos that is making me contemplate spending 6months to one year in a tailoring school….if you get what i mean?

Web design and development

My blog will benefit from this first of all then maybe some cash will be saved. Recently contacted someone for a blog layout/theme change and the price was something else.

I love Tega Enai’s blog and she is a web designer but she says the down side to this is you are never satisfied with your blog….I really don’t mind that down side ooo


I actually mean flying a plane.  It’s been a childhood wish but I always thought I had to spend like 4years or so like you would do for a degree. Guess what?! I can learn in 6months! It’s my money that will do the talking.

  1. This is such an interesting post. Your list isn’t bad at all, especially sewing. It’s a skill to have. I really want to learn graphics designing and video editing, but I need an easy and lazy approach. Lol.

      Sewing is an important one ooo. If only these things can come that easy and straight to the point. When i think of the technicalities i just get weak but one has got to do what she’s got to do. Focus on the one you can and leave the rest for another time ..i cannot come and kill myself

  2. Hmmmm this is cool 😊. These days it’s not only about being book wise. We have to be skilled practically too. I think for me the top three at the moment is photography, sewing and public speaking. I’ve been so shy all my life that now its great to see a new me emerging and I’d love to build on that 🙌.

      Me tooo…i also realized that these flares have been there but I just didn’t see need to take it seriously but now it’s very essential. I also agree with you on public speaking and I noticed blogging has helped me alot with that i think because I am finding my voice and this goes a long way for me.
